Ethical Hacking

Ethical hacking involves professionals intentionally probing computer systems for vulnerabilities. Unlike malicious hackers, ethical hackers have permission to break into the systems they test. Their primary goal is to discover and rectify security weaknesses before adversaries can exploit them. These individuals are often referred to as “white hat” hackers, drawing a distinction from malicious “black hat” hackers. Techniques used are similar to those of adversaries, but intentions are benevolent. Ethical hacking can encompass penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and other security evaluations. Knowledge gained from these tests helps organizations bolster their defenses. Essentially, ethical hacking is a proactive approach to cybersecurity, ensuring systems are as secure as possible.
